night shift

So my first night shift went great. There were no births and I got to sleep all night, the most sleep I've gotten since I arrived here! Thursday was my first "1st on" shift, which means if someone comes in in labor, I get to catch the baby! It was also a night shift, and I was super pumped when a woman came in at 7pm after her water broke. Sadly, she didn't start having contractions till 11. Then at 3am, another woman came in in labor! When we checked them, they were both 6cm! My shift ended at 6am, and I was really hoping that I would get my first Casa catch. At 6:16, the second woman who came in had her baby. As it was so close to the end of my shift, I got to stay on! It was great. At 7:05, the first woman had her baby, and I got to watch that one, but was no longer on 1st. Which was fine as I was supposed to be off at 6 and didn't end up leaving until after 10:30 due to finishing off the birth and paperwork.
