glimpses of 3

It all started at halloween. While we were handing out candy, Molly kept "sneaking" across the room to get some candy from the bowl. It was funny to watch as she sneaks quite obviously, and while she tried to come up with reasonable explanationsfor being to the bowl yet again, she really had no reason to give!

Since then she's told me I hate you when I wouldn't let her do something she wanted, she tattles on Andy to me, and she tries to stall at bedtime. None of these things happened before halloween! It's shocking how fast she's changed.

The other night she had another first. I told her she couldn't have any cake until she finished her pasta. Andy and I finished our supper, and Molly was still working on hers. We got up and were cleaning up while Molly worked on finishing her pasta. I came around the corner at one point and found Molly eating cake! I started to lecture about finishing her supper first when I noticed her bowl was empty, so I stopped.

It occurred to me that she had finished off her supper fairly quickly after taking at least 30 minutes to eat hardly any. I looked over at my bowl that was still on the table and saw this

On top of it all, she got her cake with her hands (somehow I had imagined a nice clean cut!)

Hahaha! Enjoy, after 3 comes 4...not so fantastic! And as my friends with older children tell me, the negative attributes don't get better from there! But they sure are fun, and funny.
