Today was the official day we became homeless :) It's nice to have that part officially over.
After my brave statement in the last post about how little we will miss about our house, Andy and I discovered the one room that we were very attached to. Molly's room. We took Molly by to see the house all empty. She's pretty practical about the whole affair, of course the house was empty, we've been telling her for months we're moving! She went into her room, and wanted me to take down the shelf I'd put up for her I think when she was 2. And that was it, I was a puddle. I have so many memories of that room. It was the first room we fixed up and painted (although no one was going to be in it for many, many months!) and where she was born. There are so many memories of feeding her, sleeping with her, getting super irritated with her for not letting me sleep, having her crawl all over me or hug me while I was trying to sleep. So many memories of our little baby. Later on, Andy stopped by the house one last time to drop off some manuals we'd accidently taken with us. And he was sad about leaving her room too.
Here she is, very happy after I agreed to take the shelf down.
Talking about her shelf.
She found a piece chalk and decided entertain herself while we looked for anything we had left behind one more time.

Here's the first post about the house:)

Ali, that is very touching, thanks for sharing as I would not have thought of that special room in the same way. It's nice to know the memories of your home will always be with you!!!
