so big

I can't believe it's been a whole year since Molly was born. I had imagined that I would post her birth story on her birthday, but I haven't written it yet. So lacking a long birth story, I'll share my most shocking discovery this year.

I am not a very good hockey fan, and jump on and off the bandwagon depending on how the Flames are doing (I was threatening to cheer for the Oilers in the preseason!). Andy always says a true fan starts off the season thinking there is no reason the team won't go 82-0. Looking at my beautiful baby a few hours after she was born, I couldn't see any reason that her life shouldn't be absolutely perfect. And I instantly understood why I drove my parents crazy with my questionable decisions and insatiable need to learn the hard way. They just wanted me to be happy and be the best I could be. I imagine it will be as hard for me as it was for them. Hopefully I remember that I turned out ok in spite of it all.

I can hardly believe Miss Molly is one! I was remembering today the very first time I saw her the moment she arrived... goosebumps on my arms! Thank you again for inviting me to your sweet baby girls birth.

Thanks for coming and taking the pictures and video. And thanks to Solace for convincing Molly to come out quickly!
